ZombieMod: Source is an up-and-coming Half-Life 2: Deathmatch modification for the Orange Box engine. Currently, there are two different gamemodes: Infection and Survival. Two other gamemodes, Holdout and Escape, are still in development, though maps for both have already been released to the public.

In Infection, up to 32 survivors are spawned at the same time on the same team. After a certain amount of time, one of those survivors turns into a zombie. This player's mission is to "infect" all of the other players by slashing them apart with their zombie claws so that they may join his or her zombie horde. If all survivors are turned into a zombie before the survival time runs out, the zombies win the round. Conversely, if all of the zombies are killed before survival time runs out, survivors win.

In Survival, survivors spawn on a unique map, sometimes with several other friendly NPCs. Survivors must then try to, well, survive from waves of NPC zombie hordes until the survival time runs out. This gamemode is unique in that each map for this gamemode is very different.

In Holdout, a fairly new gamemode that is still in development, you fight against waves of NPC zombies just like in Survival. However, an important difference is that you must defend a certain position on the map from the zombies. Should they enter the "defense zone", survivors lose. If the survivors manage to prevent this from happening however before the survival time runs out, survivors win. While this gamemode is not perfect yet, it is playable, and we are still continuing to improve it with each release.

In Escape, a gamemode similar to Infection in that it also involves player-controlled zombies, the survivors must find a way out of a building, complex, or situation without being killed from a trap or being turned into a zombie. Conversely, it is the zombies' mission to prevent the survivors from escaping at all costs. This gamemode is also still in the developmental stages.

SourceForts is a Half Life 2 Deathmatch mod where Combine and Rebels face off in capture-the-flag action with a big twist. Players build bases and other structures with blocks and plates in the "build phase" to protect themselves and their team's flag (which is actually a ball), and then fight it out and try to capture the enemy's flag in the "combat phase". Once the combat phase has ended, it's back to build, where players can repair, improve, and change their creations to ready them for the next combat phase.

Half-Life 2: Wars is a Realtime Strategy modification in the hl2 universe. This mod is has most basic features you would expect from an RTS game, including unit control, objectives, mission structure, rts navigation and a fog of war. To gain resources, there are points that can be captured and generate a slow income. Mapping documentation is also available on the forum. Base building is not possible yet, but will follow in the next release. Same for fully worked out sides and multiplayer.

The current release requires Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2: episode one to play and is more like a preview for later releases.

Software Required: Steam, HL2 and HL2DM is required to play this game.
The Setup will automatically install Occupation into Steams SourceMod Directory. After Setup is complete restart steam to see Occupation: Source in "My Games".

If you have already Installed version 1.0 you must use "add/remove" in the windows control panel to remove "Occupation: Source" before you install version 1.11. This was required due to changes in the maps game directory. Future changes will be handled with patches. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Training Game Play (Single Player/Coop/Multiplayer)

In Occupation to start a Training (LAN) game with AI Run Teammates and Enemies you start by clicking "Create Server" and selecting a starting map on the "Server" Tab. Change to the "Game" Tab to change the game options:

Enable Training Mode - Set to 0 to disable all AI NPC's in the game, Set to 1 to enable AI NPC's (default enabled).

Max # of Recruits - Set the Maximum number of AI NPC's in the Map at any one time. Can be set from 4 to 32. (default 16 - only used if training mode is enabled)

Deployment Speed Factor - Set a deployment time divider to increase or decrease deployment times. Can be set from .5 [slow deploy] to 10 [rapid deploy] . (default 5 [quick deploy])

Online Player Only Game Server (Multiplayer)
Run "Exec Server_WAN" from the Console (~) to Start an Online Server with only players.

The new stuff in this update are:

- More than 30 new 3rd person reload animations and poses. Every weapon has 3rd person reload animation now. New 1st person view animations: fists and coachgun
- fof_desperados map added, this is a conversion from a well know CS:S map called cs_desperados, by jackennils, used under permission. We barely modified the brushwork in any way, as the layout is pretty good for Bounty game mode, but the texturing and props were completely revamped. Conversion by R_Yell (also new textures) and Freak.
- fof_tramonto map added. This is the final version of our classic map tramonto_lite, it has received a considerable work around the spawn areas and some new effects, but gameplay is basically the same.
- Dynamic respawn system completely remade, much more optimized regarding resource usage and gameplay. Teams will spawn together in Few Dollars More and Bounty, increasing the chances for teamplay. The system will try to spawn players near other teammates, avoiding confusion and deathmatchy games. No more waiting messages will appear anymore and is guaranteed than it´ll work 100% of the time!
- Translations to: French (Yester), Traditional Chinese (pedro0930), German (Cromwell), Spanish (Ryell)
- Type ´stats´ in chat to know your accuracy stats during the game.
- Basic info panel added in loading screen.
- Different sound fx´s are played when you receive equipment, pick up ammo or knives/ares from the ground
- New objective crate, model by Freak / textures and animation by RYell.
