Project Reality is a modification for Battlefield 2. The developer's aim is to rework the original game engine developed by Digital Illusions of Sweden (Dice) to recreate a realistic combat environment. This includes adjusting the game's various elements that include physics, visual effects and gameplay. Along with changes to how the game handles, the PR team intends to include additional factions such as the British Military, and add to or alter existing factions so that they resemble real life military elements found within their respective environments. Don't forget to get the level pack here. The Project Reality Team has spent countless hours working on new assets and overcome many obstacles to bring you this completely new version which includes numerous new gameplay changes, weapons, and vehicles which we hope will make your current realistic combat experiences on the Battlefield 2 engine even better! Remember, you'll need both the level pack and the mod core to play. Also remember to delete the previous version of Project Reality as well as its shortcuts before installing 0.8.

Offworld: Fall from Mars Beta Released Since mid february the development team has been hard at work on this new and unique battlefield experince that is "Offworld". Intro The battlefields of earth have been placed aside and a new conflict has ignited on the plant Mars. The mars based government has retreated back to earth leaving the mars colonies in ruin, and the planet only partially terraformed. Three main forces are at play in this power struggle for dominace; - The Colonial Marine Force (CMF) - The Toshida Mining Corporation (TMC) - The Masons (TM) The fight Battles are fought in highly agile and deadly VTOL gunships (Vertical Take Off and Landing). These crafts are known as "flitters". Each faction will have different 3-4 classes of flitters when the project is completed. For this first playable demo only one class will be availabe for the two factions; the "light class". The future will bring testament to the old saying "there is always a bigger fish..." Features: - Two factions (CMF and TMC) - Two maps (Aeilios Mensa and Candor Chasma) - Two different gunships (Light class. Armerment; CMF: 2xMG and Cannons, TMC: 4x linked MGs - both have smoke lanuchers) - Authentic martian terrain, and huge battlefields - Air oriented combat in a crossbreed of a helicopter gunship and a fast attack jet aircraft. - Fast, fun and adrenaline inducing battles and dog fights Playable demo The overall objective of this modification project of the Battlefield 2 engine is to bring to the masses what was limited in other mods and official released versions; vehicles for all. Noone will ever have to sprint to an aircraft in vain here. Offworld will be a relative "simple" product when it is scheduled to be done (sometime Q3 or Q4 2008) Intense focus will be put on the aerial battles and the 'perfection' of the feel and gameplay of the aerial fights. This has got to be one of the best mods for BF2. The draw distances are maxed, new weapons (like a .50cal) and all new great sounds are added. Its great fun for anyone, but especially if your a regular sniper on BF2. You can see up to 1200 meters on some maps, and its a ton of fun.

This mod makes land vehicles allways: To destroyed with explosion effects when gets the deadly hit. Wreck stays on ground for a long time. Wreck has different size of burn end smoke effects depend on vehicle's type. Exploded wreck has bigger and loger smoke effects Some weapon explosion also tweaked: Smoke of greade explosion stay longer. Tankshell/rocket explosion has bigger effect effects: Added bigger explosion effect for vehicles (firefingers, smokefingers, small wrecksparts). Added different smokecolor for wrecks (white, grey, black). Same vehicleparts (wheels, doors, shields) also stay on ground for a long time. C4 explosion effect tweaked. Tankshell/rocket explosion effect tweaked. Added blood effect. Added bleeding effect (hp lost at high damage level). Dead bodies stay longer. Smoketrail of grenadelauncher removed. Smoketrail of artillery removed.

See you server status via a browser If you'd like to see your server status (player list, stats, etc) using nothing more than a browser head on over to the development page for more info. Firewall Issues The Battlefield Browser accesses a number of services on the internet. It needs to access the Battlefield Browser homepage (used for version checking at startup), the bf2player web site for buddy information, the master server and each individual server for scanning. You may get warning in Zone Alarm, etc about the program trying to access the internet - that's what it is trying to access.
